I boycotted and wrote "Pom" pomegranate juice company. They were testing on rabbits for the atherosclerosis prevention and erectile dysfunction correction effects of their juice/supplement product. I found it kind of absurd and cruel when minimally invasive human trials would have been sufficient. giving bunnies plaque plastered arteries and manipulated boners *sigh* so sad....

So I survived the summer classes some how. 16 hours i think(marine mammals/elasmo= 5 each, barrier island ecology and oceans and human health 3 each), I got A's in all but elasmobranch bio, B in lecture (more weighted portion) and a fakin C in the lab probably b/c I do horrible on taxanomic regurgitation (especially over such a short time frame). Taking physics 2 + the lab, organic 1... again (horray I'm a dumbass) This time I've a decent professor so perhaps I can understand it this time. Both of those in Hattiesburg and the other 2 (senior capstone and statistics) close to home in Gulfport.  Theres an online class in there somewhere as well that starts in November.

So I'm "99.9%" sure I got an A in Marine mammals. Called the TA and he said I did well on the final and the presenation/paper was well done It was worth 5 gpa hours so I'm pretty stoked. I started taking elasmobranch (sharks skates and rays) on Monday and its going to be way more work but I've an affinity for sharks and done alot of volunteering tagging them offshore so shouldn't be too bad.

Little fella was at the petstore when I went by to get some crickets. It took alot of mental rigidity to not run away with such cuteness. I just finished my Marine mammals class and Shark Biology starts on Monday :D I knocked my John C. Lilly presentation out of the park but unfortunately still think I'm on the A/B cusp. Too skurred to call the TA to find out one way or another tho.
